Have a blast and join us on this outer space adventure. Explore the fascinating features of our moon and play with lunar soil. Create a constellation projector and investigate more astronomical fun experiments!
Essential Standard: 1.E.1.1, 1.E.1.2: Recognize the features and patterns of the earth/moon/sun system as observed from Earth.

 

Soil Rocks MineSoil Rocks! (VIRTUAL or In-School)
“Get the dirt” on soil and its super soaking powers. Junior Geologists will excavate for real rocks and minerals while exploring useful earth materials. Sort, test, polish… and keep everything you find!
Essential Standard: 1.E.2.1, 1.E.2.2: Understand the physical properties of Earth materials that make them useful in different ways.

Living, breathing, eating, seeding… an environmental excursion for everyone! Explore the needs of plants and animals, then make-n-take a mini-habitat in this Living Lab Adventure! Even dig through owl pellets to investigate what your owl ate for dinner last night.
Essential Standard: 1.L.1.1, 1.L.1.2, 1.L.1.3, 1.L.2.1, 1.L.2.2: Understand the characteristics of various environments and behaviors of humans that enable plants and animals to survive. Summarize the needs of living organisms for energy and growth.
