Science Fun

Our Scientist

Hi! I’m Scientist Davis! I’ve been teaching here at Science Fun for Everyone since 2009. If you come to our Track Out and Summer Camps you’ll usually find me up front behind the desk, or playing games with the campers while making corny jokes! In my free time, I love doing improv comedy, and hanging out with my Wife and Cocker Spaniel.

I am originally from New Jersey but have been living in North Carolina and working at Science Fun for Everyone since 2013. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Science – Geophysics from Eckerd College in Florida and a Masters in Earthquake Seismology from Washington University in St. Louis. I love science, especially geology, and my favorite souvenir from vacations is interesting rocks and sand. My favorite SFFE program is “A Matter of Science” because it was one of the first I learned and YOU GET ICE CREAM! In my spare time I love to garden, cook, and hike with my dog Balou, my husband, and my son, Jackson.

Hey, I’m Scientist Craig and I’ve been working at Science Fun for Everyone for quite a long time. I grew up in South Bend, Indiana and graduated from Purdue University. In 2009, I moved out to Raleigh with a car full of my belongings and my dog, Kai, in the passenger seat. My favorite science is biology, more specifically animals and conservation. In my spare time I like to run, hike, camp, take my kayak out fishing, play with my dog, and travel.

Howdy, my name is Scientist Christine! I have a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of SC (Go Gamecocks!) Little known fact about me, is that I tutored a quarter of our high school football team in physics (Go Mavericks!)

Hey guys! My name is Scientist Amanda. I was born and raised in North Carolina and have always loved it here. I have 4 fur babies (dogs). A lot of people think I am crazy for having 16 paws running around me however, I wouldn’t have it any other way! Camping is one of my favorite things to do with my free time. I have always loved watching children learn and grow in such a fun scientific way and I am very grateful to be able to teach them here at Science Fun!

My name is Scientist Karla and I am the animal keeper for Science Fun For Everyone! I love animals so much that I have 6 of them at home! I own three snakes, one tree frog, one bunny and one dog! I want to own my own wild life reserve one day and maybe even have bigger animals like Bob cats. Feel free to ask me anything about animals because even if I don’t know the answer I love researching them!

I’m scientist Maddie. I’m originally from Virginia but live in Raleigh with my dog Callie! I graduated from the University of Delaware studying Environmental studies. I also played Division 1 field hockey and continue to play hockey in an adult league! I love the environment and will do anything to protect the environment (Remember to say no to single use plastic!!) I also love blue raspberry shaved ice, ice cream, and Amy Poehler!

Hi! My name is Scientist Becky. I’ve loved science and nature since I was very little. I’ve worked at ScienceFun for almost 4 years now! I’ve lived in so many different states all over the US! Some states I’ve lived in are NY, Pennsylvania, and even California.

Hi! I’m Scientist Cameron. I’ve been teaching at Science Fun for two years now, but nature has fascinated me since I was little, exploring in the woods by day and searching for meteors by night. I studied Biology at Davidson College, and stargazing is still one of my hobbies. I’ve also been teaching kids every year since middle school; I love their enthusiasm, and they help me be more curious about the universe! When I’m not at the lab, I enjoy writing and listening to music, reading science fiction, and playing tabletop games. That’s all for now–see you at the lab!

I’m a passionate human who loves inspiring others to do all sorts of things- currently getting kids excited about SCIENCE!! I have always enjoyed being in and learning about nature, and spent 8 years after college working as a Field Ornithologist (AKA Bird Nerd). I foster animals to rescue them from shelters and get them ready for a family who will love them furever. I enjoy books, sushi, and genuine smiles aimed in my direction.

My name is Ayanis Lindo. I was born in the country of Panamá, but I was raised in Fort Bragg, NC. That’s right I am a military child. I started to love science at a very young age. Living on Fort Bragg I was surrounded by a lot of nature and wildlife. I also really love dogs. Which led me to pursue a degree in Zoology from North Carolina State University. As a science educator I love teaching about our earth and the wildlife. In my free time I love to play the Ukulele, play around in photoshop and play with pups.

Hello! My name is scientist Brooke. I am a native North Carolinian and I never want to live anywhere else! I went to college at Appalachian State University, and I enjoy the mountains and the snow. In my free time I love to grow food and flowers, and I have spent time studying sustainable agriculture. I love learning about the earth and how we can protect it!

Hi there, my name is Scientist Kelly! I am 24 years old and last year I finished my bachelor’s degree in Biology. My favorite subjects in science are cell/microbiology, anatomy, and chemistry. When I’m not doing fun science experiments, I like to bake and play board games. I also collect silly socks and playing cards from all over the world!
