2021 Theme Descriptions - new 2022 camp themes coming soon

  Camp Description
The ART of SCIENCE: Inspired by great minds like Fibonacci and Da Vinci, this camp blurs the line between art and science. Junior scientists will unlock the patterns of the natural world and make beautiful color creations out of mind-bending science experiments!

Let’s Get Physic-al:
Do you love to take things apart and see how they work? Then put on your hard hat and join us as we explore how things work in this week of FUN and Physical Physics!
Critters and Creatures: This camp is for Junior Zoologists who love to get their hands dirty! Why do millipedes squirt ink and spiders shoot hairs? From deserts to savannas, forest to swamps we'll leave no stone unturned in our quest to answer the coolest critter questions!

Brain Games:
Put on your thinking caps and get ready to have your mind blown! In Brain Games camp, you’ll experiment with sensation, optical illusions, and the animal mind as we explore the curiosities of the cranium!
Science Rocks!: Rocks, minerals and volcanoes, oh my! In this camp, your junior geologist will dig into the earth as we explore from crust to core, discover real minerals, and recreate mini natural disasters! This camp will rock your world!

Science Hall of Famers:
From Galileo to Mae Jemison, from Marie Curie to Neil DeGrasse Tyson... this week we’re learning all about “Hall of Famers” in science! Jr scientists will discover impactful people from all different STEM fields and do many of their experiments in their honor.
Nature Detectives: Get ready to get your hands dirty as we explore the living wilderness right in our backyards! Junior scientists will get to meet real animals, discover exotic plants, and find out what makes the mushroom such a Fun-gi!

Enchanted Engineering:
Once upon a time, in a lab far, far away, a junior scientist asked the question: how can I build a house that a big bad wolf could never blow down? Each day in this camp, scientists will complete engineering and physics challenges based on their favorite fairy tales and fables.
Busting Myths: Fact or Fiction? What's your prediction? Junior Scientists will experiment with the stories myths are made of! From testing the safety of the 5-second rule to finding out if plants can grow without soil or sunlight, this camp is sure to bust some myths!

Legendary Creatures of the Lab:
We all know that Mermaids, Bigfoot, and the Loch Ness monster aren’t real, but if they were... what would they eat, where would they live, and how would they move around? This week is all about applying real science to legendary creatures and comparing them to their living counterparts!
End of Summer Bash: The campers voted for their all-time FAVORITE experiments and we listened! Meet us at the lab for a smorgasbord of summer-themed experiments! Some days we’ll do chemistry, others we’ll do physics or biology, but on ALL days we’ll have fun in the sun as we explore the science behind our favorite summer activities and destinations.
