Stough Elementary was by far one of the most welcoming schools I’ve been to. The teachers and staff were all so nice. The school was well decorated and highlighted diversity. This was my first time ever being in a Chinese immersion school. It was amazing to be in a class where the teacher and her assistant spoke predominantly Chinese with the students. When it was my turn to teach the kids were well engaged and loved learning about space. At the end of the program they Thanked me in Chinese. That day was also their 100th day of school so the classes were celebrating. My last class of the day got to make a 100th day of school snack. I walked in just in time to watch them make it before it was time for the program to begin. All the teachers seemed to be impressed with experiments especially when we made the constellation projectors for the kids to take home. I think they liked them as much as the kids did. Over all it was a great day at a great school.
